Deleting a Highly Available Gateway Instance

  • Deleting a highly available Transit gateway instance is not allowed if the Transit Gateway has any peering (transit-transit peering or spoke-to-transit attachment) and Site2Cloud external connections.

  • All highly available gateway instances are in active-active mode and could be forwarding network traffic. A best practice is to make sure there is no traffic going through the gateway instance before it is deleted.

In CoPilot:

  1. Go to Cloud Fabric > Gateways > select the Transit Gateways or Spoke Gateways tab.

  2. In the table, locate the gateway that you want to edit. Click the Edit icon on the right side of its row.

  3. Scroll down to the Instances section.

  4. In the table, locate the gateway instance that you want to delete. Click the Delete icon on the right side of its row.

  5. Click Save.
