Managing Alert Notification Recipients

You can create and manage a list of recipients, either email addresses or webhooks, to receive alert notifications when specific conditions are met. This ensures that the appropriate team members or systems are promptly informed of network events.

From Monitor > Notifications > Recipients on the CoPilot UI, you can create, edit, and delete recipients for alert notifications.

Create Alert Notification Recipients

You can add both email addresses and webhooks as alert notification recipients.

Verify and Associate Recipients

After creating recipients, it is recommended to verify their configuration and associate them with appropriate alerts.

Verify Webhook Recipients

You can verify a webhook recipient:

  1. Click the Webhooks tab.

  2. On the same row as the webhook, click the vertical ellipsis icon.

  3. Click Test Webhook to validate the webhook endpoint.

Associate Recipients with Alerts

To associate a recipient with one or more alerts:

  1. Go to Monitor > Notifications > Alert Configurations.

  2. Edit the desired alert.

  3. In the Send Alert To section, select the recipients from the Recipients list.

  4. Click Save.

Edit Notification Recipients

To edit a notification recipient, in the panel on the right, click the Edit edit icon icon.

  • For email recipients, you can update the alias and email address.

  • For webhook recipients, you can update the alias, payload URL, authorization header, secret, and tags/labels.

Delete Notification Recipients

You can delete recipients that are no longer needed. If a recipient is associated with one or more alerts, you will be prompted to remove it from those alerts during deletion.

  1. Go to Monitor > Notifications > Recipients, and select either the Email Addresses or Webhooks tab.

  2. Locate the recipient you want to delete and click the delete icon.

  3. In the Delete confirmation dialog, check the box to confirm removal from associated alerts.

  4. Click Delete.
