UserVPN Diagnostics

Use the UserVPN Diagnostics tool to check a VPN gateway’s performance and connectivity.

On Diagnostics > Diagnostic Tools > UserVPN, the following options are available in the Tools list.

Session History

Review specific VPN gateway sessions in more detail.

ELB Status

Check the status of load balancers within specific VPCs/VNets.

Diagnostics

Run a comprehensive diagnostics report that you can download and analyze or send to Aviatrix support.

To run diagnostics on any UserVPN gateway:

  1. In CoPilot, navigate to CloudFabric > UserVPN and select the VPN Gateways tab.

  2. Select either the Default VPN or GeoVPN tab. Diagnostics are available for both gateway types.

  3. Click Diagnostics.

You can also click the vertical ellipsis 25 next to a specific Default VPN or Geo VPN Gateway and select UserVPN Diagnostics.

The tabs on the UserVPN Diagnostics Tools window allow you to run diagnostics on a VPN user, view session history, or check ELB (load balancer) status.

Diagnostics tab

Use the Diagnostics tab to run diagnostics on a VPN user to check their connectivity and performance.

  1. Navigate to *Diagnostics > Diagnostic Tools > UserVPN Diagnostics.

  2. Select a Tool in the left pane.

  3. Enter the user’s name in the User’s Name field.

  4. Click Run.

Session History tab

Use the Session History tab to review specific VPN gateway sessions in more detail.

  1. On the UserVPN Diagnostics Tools window, select the Session History tab.

  2. Use the fields at the top of the window to filter by User, Date, Destination IPs, or Gateways.

  3. Click Run.

ELB Status tab

Use the ELB Status tab to check on the status of load balancers within specific VPCs/VNets.

  1. On the UserVPN Diagnostics Tools window, select the ELB Status tab.

  2. Select a VPC/VNet from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click Run.

Review the load balancers, the VPN gateways that use each load balancer, and the status of each gateway below.
