Monitoring System Health of Resources
You can view the health of resources in Aviatrix Platform from Settings > Resources > System Health. You can select the resources and metrics you want to see.
From the Monitor field, you can select the resource to view. The resource options include Controller, CoPilot, and CoPilot data disks. Data disks only appear in cluster environments. You can also select the time period and start and end dates for the data you want to view.
Under Services, you can see how many services are in the Down state for the resource you selected. Clicking View All Services displays a list of all services monitored for the resource you selected. You can also restart services from the Services list.
If you selected Controller or CoPilot as the resource, you can also see the total number of Open Alerts and Alert Configurations in your environment. Clicking either total number opens a list with further details. In the Alert Configuration popup, you can also click View in Alert Configurations to be directed to Notifications, where you can see the details for your configured alerts.
CoPilot and CoPilot data disk resources each display a single System Health sub-tab. The Controller has two sub-tabs that allow you to view System Health and Network Health separately.
Clicking in the Metrics field displays a list of metrics related to the resource you selected. Graphs display below the metrics list, providing details about the metrics you selected. CPU Used (%), Disk Free (%), and Memory Used (%) are added by default.
On each graph is an alert icon. Clicking the icon opens a Create Alert Configuration dialog box.
It is recommended to upgrade the size of virtual machines if Aviatrix platform global health alerts are triggered frequently. |
