Creating a Topology Filter

To create a topology filter, do the following:

  1. Go to CoPilot > Cloud Fabric > Topology.

  2. Click the filter icon to go into filter view.

  3. Click + Add Condition for each condition to define for your filter.

  4. Set the condition to Matches any condition or Match all conditions depending on your preference.

  5. For each condition, select the key (managed-resource field), operator, and value (managed-resource field value) that will filter your network topology in the map the way you want.

Topology supported filter fields include identifiers and tags for constructs, health and status metrics, and associative properties like CSP Vendor and Region.

For information about the fields you can filter on, see the topology resource field reference in Gaining Visibility into Your Network Topology.

  6. Repeat adding more conditions as needed.

Note that if the operator is contains, the value is text and you must hit the Enter key.

  7. Click Save.

The save dialog gives you the option to overwrite an existing view if you would like.

The topology filter is created and stored as a saved view. You can load the saved view as needed.
