Installing Software and Security Patches

The CoPilot > Settings > Maintenance > Upgrade tab > Install Patches section in Aviatrix CoPilot lists all available security and software patches and indicates whether or not they have been installed.

When you upgrade to the latest release, install any patches that are not currently installed.

Applying a Security Patch

To apply a Security Patch that was not previously installed:

  1. Back up your Aviatrix CoPilot.

  2. Apply the security patch. Go to your Aviatrix CoPilot > Settings > Maintenance > Upgrade tab, and on the Install Patches card, click Install.

  3. In the Install Patches window, the Patches Not Installed tab opens by default and lists uninstalled patches. Mark the checkbox next to each patch you wish to install. The window displays relevant information or warnings about each Security Patch.

  4. Click Install to install the Security Patches.

  5. The window closes and a confirmation message appears.

  6. To see the status of the patch installation, click on the Tasks icon in the top right.

  7. Back up your Aviatrix CoPilot again to save the new configuration.

Applying a Software Patch

To apply a Software Patch that was not previously installed:

  1. Back up your Aviatrix CoPilot.

  2. Apply the software patch. Go to your Aviatrix CoPilot > Maintenance > Upgrade tab > Install Patches section and click Install.

  3. In the Install Patches window, select the Software Patches tab. Mark the checkbox next to each patch you wish to install. The window displays relevant information or warnings about each software patch.

  4. Click Install to install the Security Patches.

  5. The window closes and a confirmation message appears.

  6. To see the status of the Software Patch installation, click on the Tasks icon in the top right.

  7. Back up your Aviatrix CoPilot again to save the new configuration.
