This section provides the purpose, elements, and actions performed on the Maintenance pages.

Purpose

The Upgrade page upgrades the Controller, installs security and software patches, and supports migrating data from an old CoPilot instance to the current CoPilot (including Migrate to Appliance v3 for AWS).

Elements

Maintenance: Upgrade
  • Controller: Section for Controller upgrade and patch management; Upgrade Controller with Current Version and Prepare For Upgrade; Install Patches with Install (Security Patches, Software Patches).
  • CoPilot: Migrate Data from Old CoPilot with Migrate; Migrate to Appliance v3 (AWS Only) with Migrate and View Progress.

Actions

To view the upgrade page:
  1. Go to Settings > Maintenance > Upgrade.
  2. The page appears with Controller (Upgrade Controller, Install Patches) and CoPilot (Migrate Data from Old CoPilot, Migrate to Appliance v3) sections.
The Upgrade page shows controller version and migration options.
To prepare for Controller upgrade:
  1. Go to Settings > Maintenance > Upgrade.
  2. In Upgrade Controller, review Current Version and click Prepare For Upgrade.
The preparation process for Controller upgrade is initiated.
To install patches:
  1. Go to Settings > Maintenance > Upgrade.
  2. In Install Patches, review Security Patches and Software Patches counts and click Install.
Available security and software patches are installed.
To migrate to Appliance v3 (AWS only):
  1. Go to Settings > Maintenance > Upgrade.
  2. In Migrate to Appliance v3 (AWS Only), click Migrate. Optionally, use View Progress to monitor the migration.
Data is migrated from the old CoPilot instance to the new CoPilot instance.
To migrate data from an old CoPilot instance:
  1. Go to Settings > Maintenance > Upgrade.
  2. In Migrate Data from Old CoPilot, click Migrate.
Data is migrated from the old CoPilot instance to the current CoPilot.
