Software Compatibility and Deployment Timeline
- Aviatrix Controller Software Version 8.0: Hardware deployment is fully supported with existing Edge Gateway images.
- Aviatrix Controller Software Versions 8.1 and 8.2: New Edge Gateway images are required. These new images are currently planned for release in April 2026.
- Procurement and Deployment: The hardware can be procured now, but deployment on Controllers running versions 8.1 or 8.2 must be deferred until the new Edge Gateway images are available (anticipated April 2026).
The Dell R450 is now End-of-Sale. Existing Edge deployments on the Dell R450 will continue to be supported on currently released Aviatrix software versions that have not been marked End-of-Life.
