Cloud Routes

This section provides the purpose, elements, and actions performed on the Cloud Routes pages.

Purpose

The Gateway Routes page shows gateway routes information including gateway status, tunnel status, and route counts.

Elements

Search box: Search box for filtering table content
Filter button: Button to show/hide filters
Columns button: Button to select visible columns
Export button: Button to export table data
Refresh button: Button to refresh table data
Total routes counter: Displays total aggregated routes count
Expand row icon: Expands the row to show a nested table of the gateway’s routes.
Row actions menu: Opens Show Detailed Routes, Run Diagnostics, Search in Topology, Search in FlowIQ, and View Gateway Details for the gateway.

View Gateway Routes

To view gateway routes:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > Gateway Routes.
The page appears with the table (Gateway, VPC/VNet, Cloud, Region, Gateway Status, Tunnel Status, Tunnels, Routes).
Optionally, use Search, Filter, Columns, Export, or Refresh. Review Total routes counter.

The Gateway Routes table shows gateway routes information for the selected filters.

VPC/VNet ID	Shows VPC or VNet identifier
Cloud	Shows cloud provider
Region	Shows cloud region

Tunnel Status	Shows tunnel connection status
Tunnels	Shows number of tunnels
Routes	Shows number of routes

View Detailed Routes for a Gateway

To view a gateway’s routes in detail:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > Gateway Routes.
Either click the row’s expand icon to show the nested route table inline, or open the row actions menu and select Show Detailed Routes to show the same route table in a dialog.

The detailed route table (Route, Source, Interface, Via, Next Hop IP, Next Hop Gateway, Metric, Weight, Status) appears for the gateway.

CoPilot Parameter Name	Description
Route	Shows the destination CIDR for the route
Source	Shows the route’s source address
Interface	Shows the gateway interface and its index
Via	Shows the next-hop address the route is routed via
Next Hop IP	Shows the next-hop IP address
Next Hop Gateway	Shows the next-hop gateway name
Metric	Shows the route metric
Weight	Shows the route weight
Status	Shows the route’s operational status

Purpose

The VPC/VNet Routes page shows VPC/VNet route table information including route counts and route status.

Default View dropdown: Filters the table by view — Managed Routes or Unmanaged Routes — in addition to the default unfiltered view.
Expand row icon: Expands the row to show a nested table of the VPC or VNet’s routes.
Row actions menu: Opens Show Detailed Routes for the VPC or VNet.

View VPC/VNet Routes

To view VPC/VNet route table information:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > VPC/VNet Routes.
The page appears with the table (Name, VPC/VNet, Route Table ID, Routes, Route Status, Managed).
Optionally, use Search, Filter, Columns, Export, Refresh, or the Default View dropdown to switch between Managed Routes and Unmanaged Routes.

The VPC/VNet Routes table shows route table information for the selected filters.

Managed	Shows whether the route table is managed by Aviatrix

View Detailed Routes for a VPC/VNet

To view a VPC or VNet’s routes in detail:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > VPC/VNet Routes.
Either click the row’s expand icon to show the nested route table inline, or open the row actions menu and select Show Detailed Routes to show the same route table in a dialog.

The detailed route table (Route, Gateway, Target, Status) appears for the VPC or VNet.

Purpose

The External Connections page shows external connection information including BGP status, connection status, tunnel status, and HA status.

Total connections counter: Displays total external connections count
Expand row icon: Expands the row to show a nested table of the connection’s tunnels.
Row actions menu: Opens Search in Topology and Search in FlowIQ for the connection.

View External Connections

To view external connection information:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > External Connections.
The page appears with the table (Name, VPC/VNet, BGP Status, Status, Tunnel Status, HA Status).
Optionally, use Search, Filter, Columns, Export, or Refresh.

The External Connections table shows connection and BGP status for the selected filters.

View Tunnel Details for an External Connection

To view an external connection’s tunnels in detail:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > External Connections.
Click the row’s expand icon to show the nested tunnel table (Tunnel Name, Gateway, IP Address, Peer IP Address, Protocol, Cert Based External Connection Local ID, Tunnel Status, HA Status, Last Modified).

Tunnel Name	Shows the tunnel name
Gateway	Shows the gateway the tunnel belongs to
IP Address	Shows the tunnel’s local IP address
Peer IP Address	Shows the tunnel’s peer IP address
Protocol	Shows the tunnel protocol
Cert Based External Connection Local ID	Shows the certificate-based external connection local identifier
Tunnel Status	Shows the tunnel connection status
HA Status	Shows the tunnel’s high availability status
Last Modified	Shows when the tunnel was last modified

Purpose

The BGP Info page shows BGP configuration information including BGP config status, BGP HA status, local ASN, and connection status.

View BGP Info

To view BGP configuration information:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > BGP Info.
The page appears with the table (Gateway, VPC/VNet, BGP Config, BGP HA Status, Local ASN, Status).
Optionally, use Search, Filter, Columns, Export, or Refresh.

The BGP Info table shows BGP configuration and status for the selected gateways.

View BGP Neighbor Details for a Gateway

To view a gateway’s BGP neighbors in detail:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > BGP Info.
Click the row’s expand icon to show the nested BGP neighbor table (Connection Name, Remote AS Number, Local IP, Neighbor IP, Neighbor Status).

Remote AS Number	Shows the remote autonomous system number
Local IP	Shows the local BGP peering IP address
Neighbor IP	Shows the neighbor’s BGP peering IP address
Neighbor Status	Shows the BGP neighbor’s connection status

View BGP Map for a Gateway

To view a gateway’s BGP transit neighbor map:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > BGP Info.
Locate the gateway, open its row actions menu, and select Show BGP Map.
Review the network diagram of the gateway’s BGP transit neighbor relationships in the BGP Map dialog.
Click Close to exit.

View BGP Learned and Advertised Routes for a Gateway

To view the routes a gateway has learned or advertised over BGP:

Go to Diagnostics > Cloud Routes > BGP Info.
Locate the gateway, open its row actions menu, and select Show BGP Learned Routes or Show BGP Advertised Routes.
Review the routes in the resulting dialog. The BGP Learned Routes dialog shows a Learned Routes column. The BGP Advertised Routes dialog shows Advertised Routes and Connection Name columns.
Click Close to exit.
