- A peering connection can be created between VNets within the same Azure region (virtual network peering) or across Azure regions (global virtual network peering), where it is available.
- A peering connection can be created between VNets in the same Azure subscription or in different Azure subscriptions, as long as both subscriptions are onboarded in Aviatrix Controller.
Creating an Azure VNet Peering Connection
To create an Azure VNet Peering connection:- In CoPilot, navigate to Networking > Connectivity > Native Peering tab, and click + Native Peering.
- For Cloud type, select Azure, you can use the dropdown menu to select Global, GovCloud, or China.
- From the VPC/VNet 1 dropdown menu, select the VNet to peer. The VNets are listed in the format VNet_Name(Resource_ID) and for each VNet, the cloud account name and cloud region are also shown.
- From the VPC/VNet 2 dropdown menu, select another VNet to peer with.
- Click Save.
Deleting an Azure VNet Peering Connection
To delete an Azure VNet peering connection:- In CoPilot, navigate to Networking > Connectivity > Native Peering tab.
- In the table, locate the connection you want to delete and click the Delete icon on the right side of its row.
- To delete the peering connection, click Delete to delete the selected peering connection.
