This section describes the where the IPv6 support is enabled on Aviatrix
Gateways for each Controller release.

## Support for IPv6 on the Aviatrix Controller

To enable IPv6 support **on the Aviatrix Controller**, in CoPilot go to

## Support for IPv6 on Aviatrix Gateways

Aviatrix gateways support IPv6 addressing and routing. When you enable IPv6
support on a gateway, the Aviatrix Controller automatically creates an IPv6 CIDR
block for the gateway based on the allocation of the cloud provider.

<Check>
  Enable **Support for IPv6** on the Aviatrix Controller from **Settings** > **Configuration** > **General** in CoPilot to see IPv6-related options.
  On Controller version 8.2 and later, IPv6 on Gateways applies to AWS and Azure. On Controller version 9.0 and later, IPv6 also applies to GCP Transit and Spoke Gateways and expanded Site-to-Cloud, Edge, government cloud, and FireNet scenarios described in the <a href={"/docs/enterprise/" + "10.1" + "/concepts-architectures/components/connectivity/ipv6-overview"}>IPv6 Overview</a>.
